Coffee & freshness

Frequently asked, sensibly answered

When is the coffee roasted?

Comstock’s existing practice is to roast after an order is received and place the roast date on the package. Current roast schedules and cutoff times will be published after they are verified.

How should I store the beans?

Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry, dark cabinet. Avoid the refrigerator, direct sun, and the shelf above the oven. Grind what you need just before brewing when practical.

Which grind should I choose?

Use coarse for French press, medium for most drip brewers, medium-fine for many pour-overs, and fine for espresso. The exact setting depends on the grinder, which has opinions of its own.

Does Comstock offer decaf?

Yes. The existing site states that decaf receives the same standards of quality, freshness, and selection as the rest of the coffee. Current decaf products and methods will be listed only when confirmed.

Can I start a subscription?

Not through this review build. The subscription interface is ready, but recurring billing and fulfillment are intentionally unconnected until products, prices, schedules, and terms are verified.

What are the shipping and return policies?

The old site says coffee is shipped to the customer’s door, but it does not provide current rates, timing, delivery area, return terms, or a free-shipping threshold. Those facts must be confirmed before launch.

How can I contact Comstock?

Email [email protected] or call (775) 391-3202. The contact page also includes a secure local-review form.
